Both of them have been compared to Arima based on their level of skill. They have both had abusive parental figures who they still loved. They have both fought parental figures but never killed them themselves. The found father figures with no biological relation. 

And now that Kaneki has inherited Arima’s “hopes” and the OEK title, Juuzou appears with an Arata, similar to what Shinohara had.
