Im thinking kaneki just ate hides right hand or arm. Theres a strange arm change in the flashback. Like at first his right hand is on kanekis left shoulder, then we see kaneki with a left hand on his right shoulder. Also back in the beginning of tg when kaneki is tempted to eat hide and saw him on a plate back in ch 9 we dont see hides right hand.
