okay so I’ve seen the post as well, and I’m just gonna list what I know since people are battling over Shuu, Nishiki, and a few other characters as well

Here’s a wonderful reference by the way of not only the ages in TG but also the time skips and manga plot (Wang’s in the process of editing atm but it’s a very good reference)

ANYWAYS

Currently in :re, the year is 2015. No, it is not 2016 as I’ve also seen argued, and here is why:

Kaneki was born in 1992, Year of the Monkey

Haise was introduced at age 22, then it was Auction Arc, 6 month time skip into April 2015, Lunar Arc, 6 month time skip to ~November 2015 

(Keep in mind that Haise is theoretically a few months older than Kaneki, so Haise turned 23 back when he was promoted to First Class, while Kaneki remained 22)

So…

2015-1992=23 years old

Now we have a base to work with. So the list below is by the end of 2015 in :re at 11:59 PM, when everybody has officially turned a year older and there aren’t any month imbalances to mess up a lot of math:

• ~41 – Shinohara Yukinori – ~1974
• The above two ages are kinda approximate ages since we don’t have their birthdays
• 33 – Fura Taishi – August 1, 1982 (Dog)
• 33 – Arima Kishou – December 20, 1982 (Dog)
• 32 or 31 – Hirako Take – May 14, 1983 or 1984 (Pig or Rat)
• There were some problems with Hirako’s age back in TG. He could be 32 right now since :re had him introduced as 31, but the TG timeline is a bit messy concerning Hirako, and his age was all over the place. It’s a safe bet to say he’s probably 32 by the end of 2015
• 31 or 30 – Washuu Matsuri – 1984 or 1985 (Rat or Ox)
• When Matsuri is introduced to :re, he was 29. The problem lies in the fact that he was introduced in October 2014. If Matsuri Washuu is a end of October-December baby, he would be 31 by the end of 2015. If he was born in any of the earlier months, then he is 30 by the end of 2015.
• 30 – Amon Koutarou – April 7,1985 (Ox)
• 28 – Gori Misato – April 8, 1987 (Rabbit)
• 28 – Ui Koori – October 1, 1987 (Rabbit)
• 28 or 27 – Eto Yoshimura – 1987 or 1988 (Rabbit or Dragon)
• Eto states, before announcing to the Tree that she isn’t the king, that it had been 13 years since she first attacked the CCG, back when she was 14. The problem lies in the fact that she stated this in November. If she is a end of November-December baby, she is 28 by the end of 2015. If she was born in earlier months, then she is 27 by the end of 2015.
• 27 – Itou Kuramoto – November 11, 1988 (Dragon)
• 26 – Hori Chie – February 25, 1989 (Snake)
• 26 – Tsukiyama Shuu – March 3, 1989 (Snake)
• Somebody is going to argue this, so let me explain in the simplest of terms. Kaneki is 18-19 as a first year at Kamii. Nishiki is 19-20 as a second year. A third year will be 20-21. Shuu is a fouth year at ages 21-22. Kaneki and Shuu have a 3 year age difference. By the end of 2015, Kaneki is 23. Therefore, Shuu is 26. He’s old. Deal with it.

• Shuu had a crush on Touka when she was 14 (he was 18). 4 Year age gap -> Shuu is 26, Touka is 22. In :re she started out at age 21, but is currently 22 after the 6 month time skip after Lunar Arc. (Also keep in mind she was in her 3rd year of high school (ages 17-18) in TG, and that Japanese high school is a lot different then Western high school. It isn’t uncommon to have kids born in two different years in the same class (i.e. Urie and Saiko), also known as Yoriko and Touka’s case)
• 21 – Yoriko Kosaka – 1994 (Dog)
• 21 – Saiko Yonebayashi – September 4, 1994 (Dog)
• 21 – Takeomi Kuroiwa -September 6, 1994 (Dog)
• 21 – Hairu Ihei – September 29th, 1994 (Dog)
• 21- Tooru Mutsuki – December 14, 1994 (Dog)
• 20 – Urie Kuki – February 12, 1995 (Pig)
• Saiko is the oldest Quinx even though she looks, like, 12. She turned 20 at the beginning of :re while Urie and Shirazu were only 19. Oldest to youngest quinx -> shortest to tallest
• 20 – Ginshi Shirazu – March 8, 1995 (Pig)
• 19 – Kanae von Rosewald or Karren Roswald – April 23, 1996  (Rat)
• Forever miffed that Karren isn’t Karen. Poor lovely wheelbarrow 
• 17 – Hinami Fueguchi – May 21, 1998 (Tiger)
