Okay so we’re gonna split this ask into two sections

Petition for Hirako to be a good investigator who hates his job as much as Arima and goes to help Kaneki, Instead of being dead in the next few chapters.

We already know how Hirako feels about the CCG policy with his statement on Irimi’s fate back in TG and with his standing as a First Class Investigator (Special Classes have no mercy)

I’m still hoping for Hirako to go watch out for Kaneki though, as I’ve explained here (x), since I don’t think Hirako will believe that Kaneki killed Arima due to past experiences:

And because the hooded figures in this panel do remind me of the members of Zero Squad

They are heavily loyal to Arima, so it wouldn’t be too far fetched to imagine that he may have asked them to follow Hirako and Kaneki as well especially if they are all Garden kids. That would also explain why none of the squad went out and attacked the ghouls infiltrating Cochlea, and why none of the squad went as backup for Arima despite only being a floor above them.

And Matsuri said that once he gains control of S3 and Arima Squad (once Arima’s dead) he would be replacing all the members anyways:

So the remaining members of Arima squad going AWOL as a last promise to Arima would be nice as well

And as for some selfish thinking, since this arc parallels Aogiri Arc from TG, I’m also hoping for a parallel of this scene:

With Hirako wrapping Arima’s coat around Kaneki’s shoulders

But that’s just wishful thinking

Just realised that the call Urie got could be referring to Arima and Hirako now, especially with Donato and Uta on the way, with Uta using Hirako’s Quinque to kill him.

While I do agree that Hirako has some neck related foreshadowing, especially since he is a Judas figure (x), I feel like to fulfill his destiny as a betrayer/dying, he first needs to follow Jesus (Kaneki) so he has some time ; ~;

I sincerely hope Hirako doesn’t die soon a few chapters from now though, especially since we know even less about his character then Arima’s

So for now, I guess we wait o)-(

Didn’t believe Kaneki killed Arima:

Arima asked 0 Squad and Hirako to watch out for Kaneki:

Gave Kaneki a cloak:

and the horse pin was a bonus:

I-I’m curious how you’re going to calculate how muscular Hirako is. It’s not like I’m interested in what you’re using as reference pics or anything…ok but seriously, I’m pretty curious about the math.

Just for you anon, purely for knowledge’s sake:

So, the only way I could try to figure this out was to compare Hirako to another character whose muscles have been confirmed.

Hirako and Uta look around the same size in the manga but according to their wiki bios, Uta is 5 cm taller than Take. And yet Take is 11 whole kg heavier than Uta.

We can safely assume that Hirako is really built (way more than Uta at least), very muscular…possibly also with a nice soft tummy.  I mean, unless there’s a way to calculate muscle mass off of only height and weight, I think that’s our best guess. You know, math-wise.

I’ve been thinking about some stuff for the Tokyo Ghoul Medical Drama AU. In particular a meeting between Dr. Sasaki and Uta the medical examiner.

  •      Haise goes down to give some paperwork to Uta. When he goes down down to the morgue he sees Uta preforming an autopsy.
  •      Haise plans to just have a polite amount of small talk with Uta and then quickly leave. However before he can get away Uta hands him a tray with a kidney in it and says, “Hold this.”
  •      Haise stands there awkwardly not know what to say for a minute while Uta went about dissecting the corse before finally asking “What happened to this person?”
  •      Uta answers, “Poor boy he was an emergency organ transplant patient, it was a miracle he survived the first surgery. Unfortunately he became ill a few days after leaving the hospital, the fever from the infection must have made him delusional, because instead of contacting the hospital to deal with the complications he decided to try and cut the organ out with a kitchen knife. He was found by a school friend and died on the way to the hospital.”
  •      This deeply unnerves Haise for some reason.
  •      Hirako the surgeon enters the morgue and breaks the tense quiet. Uta looks up from his work. Hirako mutters he’s here for the paperwork on the dead boy.
  •     “Ah Take-kun,” Uta says, “It must be hard to lose a patient,” he pats a stool nearby. “You can stay and cry for a while if you need too, it’s nice and quiet.”
  •     Hirako glares daggers at Uta. Uta finally takes the organ tray back from Haise, who backs awkwardly out of the morgue.
