It’s a fake coined name. Like “smol” meaning small & cute. Also -ensk being a fake Russian suffix. Similar to how annoying gringos think everything in Spanish is add an -o to every. (english). word! So it is consciously fake Russian, but yes it is still annoying from a native perspective. (I’m US American, but I identify as getting othered.)
