Some of the potholes in Indianapolis are literally the size and depth of bathtubs.

This is just a small fraction of the road I just drove down – it looked like this all the way across the road for half a mile. Cars were forced to take turns driving 10 mph down the middle of a two-lane road with a 45 mph speed limit just to avoid falling to pieces.

yeah it’s absolutely bananas here. the poor city workers are busting their asses to fix them, but the weather’s been shifting so fucking drastically lately that new ones keep popping up and they cant stay on top of it.

The problem is that Indy’s roads have been neglected for decades and they literally don’t have the money to fix them. The mayor declared a state of emergency and asked for millions for dollars in crisis funding just to fix potholes ‘cause so many people are getting injured or losing their cars and the city can’t even reimburse them.
