this is a fair argument but I think the initial point of those posts is that popular character designs in anime now tend to lean towards catering to pedophiles

so

Underage anime girls being heavily sexualised, and even child porn was a much much much bigger issue in the 80s, and even the 90s because back then there were little to no laws against that sorta shit. Just because y’all didnt havnt sites like tumblr, twitter, 4chan and pixiv or whatever back then doesnt mean it wasnt a huge fucking issue and that this is only a thing that happens now or happens now more than before.
