A friendly fox in Pripyat, Chernobyl exclusion zone
Fun fact, the ambient radiation in Pripyat isn’t actually that bad (in the microsieverts/hour people usually receive on the order of millisieverts of radiation per year just from nature/medical scans/rocks), depending on the weather conditions you can spend quite a bit of time (on the timescale of hours per day) within the exclusion zone and it actually has a thriving wildlife population away from the reactor. People still work in the exclusion zone and it’s treated like any other nuclear power plant with very controlled exposure.
Just don’t dig under the topsoil, it’s very radioactive there.
