• the crew loves the fan response, they love the fanart, and they’re hoping to see people cosplay! tim hedrick (head writer) said he’s “shocked at the volume of fanwork and all the enthusiasm”
• one of the first main decisions was to make pidge a girl!
• the reason why alfor isn’t around anymore (”was killed in cold blood”) is because he had all the answers the paladins could have needed so having him around would have made their job too easy. hedrick called alfor “corrupt”
• there are apparently more secrets to be revealed about shiro’s arm/hand!
• the crew knew that season 2 was happening so that’s why they ended s1 in a cliffhanger
• we’ll get to see the diverse world in the background, of people continuing to live their life under galra rule, etc. they rly want to explore more of the galra empire since the paladins are separated.
• “who would win in an ironchef cooking contest between coran and hunk?” “coran might have a chance with an altean audience, but hunk is the universe’s wide winner”
•  “why did you have to separate the paladins? 😦 “ “because if we hadn’t you wouldn’t get to have that warm feeling once they reunite!”
• there was a question about the age of the paladins; Shiro is 25, Pidge is around 14 years old, and the other paladins are in their late teens
