I know that there are a lot of really incredible people in this fandom, and I appreciate so many of you, but I wanted to take some time to say thank you to Michi in particular. 

@makyun is always so kind, so sweet, so generous, and so gracious. I have seen her respond to straight-up hateful people with a level of genuine kindness that I can’t even fathom. On top of that, she takes a great deal of time to patiently answer questions on her blog, no matter how big or small, and never talks down to people for not knowing or understanding something. Michi gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, and approaches people in a very gentle way that I admire. On top of that, Michi gives us all kinds of fandom content – text posts, meta, art, jokes, translations, ficlets, and an insight into the JP fandom that would be difficult to otherwise get. 

I know that I have been following Michi for quite some time, and I’ve really come to admire her a lot. For those reasons and for so many more, I really wanted to say thank you, Michi, you’re really awesome and I hope that you have a wonderful day, week, month, and year. You give so much of yourself to this fandom and I truly believe that you’ve made it a much better place. ❤
