I actually think that this is a quiet pet peeve of Eto’s while she’s trying to be a lowly executive of Aogiri tree and totally not also a best selling literary star.

And one of my favorite panels in the entire manga:

Eto’s up there ready to be all manipulative mastermind and crazy skilled fighting powerhouse and Naki jumps down and is like “scientoast!” and the part of her that’s Takatsuki Sen, the writer blurts out “scientist.” before she probably has a chance to think about why she even bothers.
