I’ve been asked myself a lot during :re if it would be better for Kaneki to die or not, because realistically speaking I think he’s too mentally cracked for it to be reversible. At this point Kaneki is just being alive tortured by his memories and mental illnesses. 

Maybe putting him out of his misery is the best thing for him? Then again that’s what he’s trying to do.
