• When or if I started shipping it? → I started really shipping it after the six month timeskip when Tsukiyama coughed after seeing Kaneki shirtless.
• My thoughts? → Tsukiyama and Kaneki had so much potential to be good friends. Even though they’re very different in personalities, they have a lot of things in common. They could’ve had it all but…. Ishida and… his love for tragedies.
• What makes me happy about them? → How their relationship never stops developing throughout the series:
Tsukiyama wanting to eat Kaneki → Tsukiyama starting to care about Kaneki as a friend but not realizing it → Tsukiyama finally realizing his feelings. → Tsukiyama wanting to bring Kaneki’s memories back. → Tsukiyama choosing not to bring them back so Kaneki won’t suffer.
Kaneki wanting to be friends with Tsukiyama despite Touka’s warnings. → Kaneki not trusting Tsukiyama after he betrays him → Kaneki accepting Tsukiyama into his group in order to use him. → Kaneki slowly warming up to Tsukiyama again.
• What makes me sad about them? → Everything??? Where should I start? Tsukiyama thinking that he wants to eat Kaneki but ending up fooling himself all the time only to realize when it’s too late?? Tsukiyama being depressed for three years because of Kaneki’s ‘death’? Tsukiyama being so happy Kaneki is alive that he runs out of his wheelchair only to fall right in front of Kaneki?? Tsukiyama waiting for so long… but Kaneki not remembering him? Sasaki having to kill Tsukiyama but freezing because he can’t do it?? Also, Kaneki enjoying Tsukiyama’s company and wanting to be friends with him but ending up betrayed by Tsukiyama?? THE WHOLE TSUKIYAMA FAMILY SITUATION?!?!? This got too long lol.
• Things done in art/fic that annoys me. → In fics, it annoys me when Kaneki is being very cold-hearted and treating Tsukiyama like shit??? I mean, Kaneki never did that in the manga. He did keep his distance but he was never rude or something like that.
