mm I’ve never actually written out any meta, but I do have ideas for Touka

Touka and her many many death flags:

• How Yomo told her that she could pay for her sins one day, just like Irimi and Koma had
• The story Arata read to Ayato and Touka (that Touka loved while Ayato did not) is called “Gon the Little Fox,” by Nankichi Niimi (x). The morale of the story is that “you cannot change your fate/you must accept your fate” hence why Ayato is displeased with the story while Touka loves it. Ayato refuses to accept a ghoul’s inequality, while Touka becomes more docile as TG progresses. Ayato will not accept death, while Touka will (see above bullet)
• Her position as a manager in a coffee shop, creating a place that a one-eyed ghoul could one day come back to and feel loved (and look how that ended for Yoshimura and Eto)
• Touka resembles her mother Hikari, and Ayato and Kaneki resemble Arata and Yomo interchangeably as Ayato looks like Arata but behaves like younger Yomo, and Kaneki behaves like Arata (while Yomo paralleled Kaneki’s fight scene with Shachi this chapter). And of course, Kaneki parallels Arima heavily, so now we have two events that have Kaneki being a part of Touka’s downfall (Narukami 2.0)

And there are other death flags, but I can’t remember them at the moment

This is why I wanted Touka to stay away from Cochlea

And as for some happier ideas !!

• As an Ace of Clubs, her role in the “revolution” for ghoul’s rights could be the same as her role back in Anteiku: as a poster girl. 
• She’s attractive
• She regrets her actions as a ghoul
• She’s a hard worker
• Aka she has all the traits needed to sway the public into thinking ghouls can learn to be good
