Chapter Title: String of Many Pearls

Narration: Farewell to the me that saw tomorrow.

-Rushima Side-

Kurona and Suzuya are fighting.

Kurona: You caused me a lot of trouble you know! Kanou also abandoned my poor beat-up Shiro. Because of that… I absorbed her into me. My kagune combined us! Miracles come easily to twins, you see. This means that Shiro is living inside me now. Do you get it, Suzuya?

Suzuya: … so why did you come to this island?

Kurona: It’s really inconvenient to have her on my stomach forever, so I came to have Kanou fix her properly!

Suzuya: Even though that’s impossible.

Kurona: Shut the fuck up.

She is super pissed off and raises several kagune from her back.

Kurona: That guy is good at whatever he does. He can fix her, but he just didn’t want to. Shiro is going to be okay. Shiro is going to be okay…

Kurona’s face starts to be covered by kagune- it appears she is a kakuja. She starts to drool and slur her words because of it.

Kurona: Shiiiiwoooo wis wokaaaayyyy…. I won gib up!

Suzuya: Nakarai, take care of Hanbee.

Nakarai: Yessir.

Suzuya: Mikage, Mizuro- to battle stations! Our opponent is an SS-Rate “Floppy” (a failed attempt). Start the extermination!

Kurona: SuuuuuzuuuuuuuYEEAHHHH!!! HHH!!!

She attacks, and Mikage and Mizuro hold her back with their Quinques and Suzuya jumps out of the way.

-Nakarai and Hanbee-

Nakarai is tending to Hanbee’s wounds.

Hanbee: I’m so sorr….

Nakarai: If it stays like this the bleeding will stop. The end is broken so don’t move it.

Nakarai removes the kagune that has stabbed Hanbee through the leg.

Hanbee: Being beaten at my own game… I’m a disgrace to our team.

Nakarai: Don’t worry, nobody expected you to be able to beat a SS-Rate ghoul by yourself.

Hanbee looks dispirited, but Nakarai places a hand on his shoulder.

Nakarai: You did well to restrain her, we’ve already won.

-Battle Side-

Suzuya swings down Jason’s 13 but Kurona dodges.

Kurona: Fugg youuuuu!!!

Suzuya calls to Mizuro who attacks and hits her shoulder. Mizuro calls to Mikage who also attacks.

Mikage: Transform into Space O-Inari-san! (TN: Is this his Quinque??)

Kurona avoids Mikage’s attack, but then Suzuya jumps at her.

Suzuya: This is going efficiently.

Kurona: Fuckkkk youuuuu

The next instant, Kurona’s kagune smashes through Suzuya’s Quinque and stabs him in the chest.

-Cochlea Side-

While the alarms ring, two unseen people have a conversation.

Person one: What will we do about the escaped ghouls?

Person two: 

Special Classes Aura and Tanakamaru have arrived to deal with them. We will leave it up to them.

Person one: Squad leader, what about us?

Person two: We head below, Special Class Arima is alone.

-Kaneki vs. Arima-

Kaneki fights Arima. His kagune has transformed into 3-4 parts and his arm has gotten much bigger.

Kaneki: (I know I can’t deal with this by ordinary means…. so!! Try avoiding this!!)

Kaneki sends out a large net-shaped kagune which surrounds Arima. He jumps but the kagune stretches out and still traps him inside. We see that one of his eyes is white- can he not see from it?

A large hand-like kagune springs from the ground to trap Arima from all sides. Arima swings his Quinque around and cuts through it in 360 degrees. He hears Kaneki scream behind him, and swings his Fukuro Quinque to attack him.

However… what he cuts is a talking piece of Kaneki’s kagune, not Kaneki himself.

Kagune: I… have won.

Kaneki uses this distraction to fly at Arima and smashes his Fukuro Quinque.

Narration: Two Quinque’s have been destroyed! What will happen now ?!

As for the title, it’s written down as ‘hai’ from ‘Haise’ but the kanji on its own can also be read as ‘tsuranuku’ which can also mean ‘to pierce through’ or ‘to penetrate’.
