No wonder Furuta hates his birthday…the people who named him couldn’t even bother to give Furuta a proper last name and used the numbers in his birthdate instead T^T

If they didn’t think anything about him when Furuta was born, then why should he?

I’m a bit confused as what you mean by the ones who named Furuta couldn’t give him a proper last name… I mean isn’t a person’s last name the same as their parents’ last name?

Furuta is related to the Washuu though. If Furuta is Yoshitoki’s natural son, then his last name should be Washuu, not Furuta. But that isn’t the case. Furuta Nimura’s name literally means “one extra day, two two nine”, the “one extra day” referring to the leap year. It’s as impersonal as you can get, giving a number as a person’s name like a prisoner or experimental subject…
