I doubt she’s dead and just to list some reasons why:

She was surrounded with dead V members (om nom)

Literally 10 min before she was being sassy with Furuta

Her goal was to use Arima’s death to convince Kaneki to be OEK, her dramatic “death” would help a lot too. She’s an author, this is her story

Plus I can imagine her playing dead, rolling over, and quietly snickering and shaking with laughter when Kaneki runs off to be King

But man, the thought of Eto lamenting about her old age being a hint that she’s gonna go retire makes me laugh. Let her son begrudgingly go do the family business while she chills like Kanou does with a matsuri fan and Hawaiian shirt
