there is no such thing as unskilled labour

This post made me realise something important – you have never just become good at your job. You have become skilled. You have gained skills. If you can do something quickly and correctly, without supervision, you are highly skilled. If you don’t have to think about doing something while doing it, it had become a motor skill for you – you are highly skilled. If you comprehend jargon used on the job, if you know measurements or filling or abbreviations or situations that only occur in a workplace – you are skilled and knowledgeable.

you have not experienced true fear until a poster falls down in the middle of the night

One time I thought a poster had fallen down in the middle of the night, but when I turned on my light, it actually was an opossum that fell through my ceiling into my room. So, that’s actually true fear.
